Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification in a psychotherapeutic discipline (e.g., CBT, Counselling, Psychotherapy)
  • Accreditation (provisional or full) with BABCP, BACP, HCPC, or BPS
  • Minimum two years’ experience delivering psychological therapy
  • Annual training in Adult & Child Safeguarding, Data Protection, and Prevent
  • ICO registration
  • Ongoing clinical supervision and CPD
  • Intermediate IT skills (including secure document handling)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

How to Join

  1. Sign the affiliation agreement and complete onboarding
  2. Set up your profile on our booking platform
  3. List your availability and preferred session types
  4. Start receiving bookings and delivering sessions
  5. Submit your monthly invoice for completed sessions
 

Clients will book their appointments via our website, and you will invoice Talking Therapies UK monthly. You will be self-employed and ensure the requirements set out below are met during your registration with Talking Therapies UK.

You will be required to:

Have and maintain current professional accreditation with the appropriate body of practice such as BABCP, BACP, HPC.

You must have and maintain appropriate private insurance.

You must be ICO registered 

You must have a current valid DBS number / certificate 

You must have access to and utilise appropriate clinical supervision as set out by your regulatory authority.
